National Centers for Biomedical Computing

The National Centers for Biomedical Computing (NCBC) are developing and implementing the core of a universal computing infrastructure to speed progress in biomedical research by creating innovative software programs and other tools that enable the biomedical community to integrate, analyze, model, simulate, and share data on human health and disease.

The centers are part of the National Institutes of Health Roadmap for Medical Research. The National Centers for Biomedical Computing are a programmatic initiative of the NIH Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Roadmap.
