The Biositemaps Editor is a Web-based authoring tool to generate a Biositemaps file that contains a description of your resources. Biositemaps represent a mechanism for computational biologists and specialists in bioinformatics to openly broadcast and retrieve meta-data about biomedical resources. All institutions or laboratories with an interest in biomedical research can publish a biositemap.rdf file on their Internet site. Each biositemap.rdf file is simply a list of controlled metadata about resources (data, software, tools, material, and services) that your organization uses or believes are important to biomedical research. To generate a Biositemap file using the editor see: http://biositemaps.ncbcs.org/editor/.
The Biositemap Editor is a joint project of The National Center for Biomedical Ontology and The National Center for Integrative Biomedical Informatics which are part of the National Centers for Biomedical Computing supported by the NIH Roadmap.
