UB students who wish to participate in ICBO classes or tutorials WITHOUT CREDIT, should write to Barry Smith [1]. Space is limited, and early registration is strongly recommended.

To participate in ICBO classes WITH CREDIT, UB students are required to register for the following Fall course:

PHI 531: Problems in Ontology (Barry Smith). Registration Number 315793.

This is a variable credit course, for which credit hours, up to a maximum of 3, can be obtained, as follows:

  • up to 2 credit hours for attending one or two of the four 2-day ICBO-assoociated classes listed here (one credit per 2-day class).
  • 1 credit hour for attending a two-day Fall class "Introduction to Ontology", to be given by Barry Smith on September 12-13, 2009 (details to be announced).
  • 1 further credit hour for writing a research paper in connection with any of the classes taken.

Only UB students may register for course credit for any of the above. To do so, they should write to Barry Smith [2], indicating for which of the above modules they wish to register.

Non-UB students should follow the registration guidelines here.
